Diapers are easy to find in Prague, but the exact brand, line, and size may differ from home. Supermarkets stock mainstream basics, drugstores such as dm and Rossmann often have wide own-brand ranges, and pharmacies carry selected care products. Bring enough familiar diapers for the journey and first day, then buy a small local pack before committing to the whole stay.

Choose the store by urgency

A central mini-market can solve an immediate shortage but may offer only one brand and a few sizes. Larger supermarkets, shopping-center branches, and drugstores usually provide more taped diapers, pants, swim diapers, wipes, and changing supplies. A lékárna can advise about skin-care products. Check current branch hours, particularly on public holidays or late arrival days.

Read the size range

European packages commonly show a weight range, but overlapping sizes and brand shapes mean weight is only a starting point. Compare with the child's current package, then check waist and leg fit. Pants and taped styles behave differently. Do not choose the biggest stated range for value if it creates gaps, leakage, or a poor fit.

Treat skin claims cautiously

Words such as sensitive, natural, premium, eco, and fragrance-free require label reading. A product can still contain an ingredient that does not suit a particular child, and familiar branding may use a different formulation by market. Buy a small pack, stop using it if a concerning reaction develops, and seek pharmacist or medical advice when appropriate rather than diagnosing from a travel blog.

Make shopping easy

Save one dependable store near the accommodation and one backup near a planned attraction. Carry the pack low in a stroller basket within its load limit or use a delivery service only after confirming access and timing. Keep a few diapers in every day bag, plus a delay allowance. Donate unopened surplus through an appropriate local channel instead of forcing it into luggage.
