For both origin and destination, identify the accessible street entrance, each lift needed, and the side of the road where you will emerge. Some lifts are separate from the most visible staircase and may require crossing a junction. If changing lines, verify that the interchange path itself works for a stroller; a station can have platform access without a simple step-free transfer between every route.
Watch for outages and works
Lifts close for maintenance and station works can alter access with little relevance to an old blog map. Review current lift status and service notices shortly before travel. Save a backup station or surface route. If a lift is out, do not use an escalator with a stroller unless the operator's current rules and your equipment explicitly permit a safe method; use an alternative instead.
Move safely in the station
Keep children secured, stay behind platform markings, and hold the stroller with its brake ready. Enter and leave trains without stopping in the doorway. Gaps vary, so approach straight and ask for controlled help if needed. Prague's tram network may offer a simpler direct journey than a metro trip with two long lift detours.
