1. Scope and acceptance
These terms apply to booking requests and to the rental, collection, possession, installation, and use of any child car seat supplied under the Little Travel Prague trading name (the “Provider”). The pickup location is Mánesova 864, 120 00 Praha 2-Vinohrady, Czechia. Contact the Provider at support@littletravelprague.com. The legal operator for the transaction is identified in the booking confirmation.
By accepting these terms, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have authority to make the booking, have read and understood this document, and will ensure that every person who installs or uses the seat follows it. A submitted request is not a confirmed reservation. A rental is confirmed only when the Provider confirms the model, dates, price, and handover.
2. Provider responsibilities
The Provider remains responsible for every duty that applicable law places on a rental supplier. Acceptance of these terms does not waive any claim arising from a duty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- The Provider will perform a reasonable visual and functional check before handover and will not knowingly supply a seat with a known safety-critical defect or known post-collision status.
- The Provider will identify the supplied model and provide the manufacturer's instructions or a reliable way to access them where reasonably available.
- The Provider will disclose known material damage, missing safety parts, or usage restrictions that affect the agreed use.
- If a reported concern may affect safety, the Provider may require immediate non-use and return of the seat.
3. Your responsibility to choose a suitable seat
You are responsible for providing accurate current information about the child's height, weight, age, and any relevant needs. Age ranges on this website are only a guide. The approval label and manufacturer limits for height, weight, age, orientation, and configuration of the exact supplied seat control.
You must confirm that the exact seat and required configuration are suitable for the child. Do not use a seat if the child falls outside any manufacturer limit, if a required insert or component is missing, or if you are uncertain about suitability.
4. Vehicle compatibility and installation
You are responsible for confirming compatibility with the exact vehicle and seating position before use. This includes checking the vehicle manual and, where relevant, ISOFIX positions, top-tether anchors, support-leg restrictions, underfloor storage, belt routing, buckle position, airbags, seat orientation, and space for other passengers or restraints.
- Install and secure the seat exactly as required by both the seat manufacturer and vehicle manufacturer.
- Check the installation, harness, headrest, belt routing, recline, and child fit before every journey and after another person has used or moved the seat.
- Do not rely on a website photograph, generic video, age label, or verbal summary as installation instructions.
- If you cannot achieve a secure, permitted installation, do not transport the child in that seat. Use a safe alternative or obtain hands-on help from a qualified professional.
Unless a separate written fitting service is expressly agreed, any demonstration or general assistance at handover is informational. You remain responsible for the final installation and each pre-journey check. This paragraph does not exclude liability for incorrect statements or negligent acts where applicable law does not permit exclusion.
5. Safe use and prohibited conduct
- Use the seat only for its intended purpose, within all manufacturer limits, and in compliance with the law in every country of travel.
- Use only parts, inserts, covers, bases, and accessories approved for the exact model. Do not add unapproved padding, belt devices, toys, or aftermarket accessories.
- Do not modify, drill, glue, dismantle, repair, lubricate, bleach, steam, or machine-wash any part unless the manufacturer expressly permits it.
- Do not use the seat with twisted or damaged webbing, an unreliable buckle, a cracked or deformed shell, missing labels or parts, or any other condition that may affect safety.
- Secure an unoccupied seat as instructed so it cannot become a projectile. Never leave a child unattended in or around the seat.
6. Inspection, damage, collisions, and recalls
Inspect the seat at pickup and before every use. Report any concern immediately and do not use the seat until the Provider confirms the next step. Acceptance at pickup does not waive rights relating to a hidden defect that could not reasonably have been discovered.
Stop using the seat immediately after any collision, airbag deployment, significant drop, impact, unusual loading, visible damage, missing component, buckle or harness malfunction, or recall notice. This applies even if the seat appears normal. Keep the seat and all parts available for inspection and notify the Provider promptly. Do not continue using or attempt to repair it.
7. Website information and availability
Product photographs may show a color, base, insert, accessory, or revision that is not included in the rental. Website specifications may be summarized or supplied by a manufacturer or third-party retailer. The exact seat label, manual, written booking confirmation, and handover record take priority. Availability shown online is provisional until confirmed.
The Provider does not promise that a particular model will fit every vehicle or child and does not guarantee that any restraint will prevent injury in a collision. Manufacturer names and marks belong to their respective owners and do not imply sponsorship.
8. Allocation of responsibility and limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider is not responsible to the extent that loss, damage, injury, delay, or expense is caused by:
- inaccurate child or vehicle information supplied by you;
- selection of an unsuitable seat or configuration contrary to the exact seat instructions;
- incorrect installation, harnessing, belt routing, positioning, adjustment, supervision, or pre-journey checking;
- use in an incompatible vehicle or seating position, or contrary to vehicle instructions or airbag warnings;
- misuse, overloading, unapproved accessories, modification, unauthorized cleaning or repair, or use outside stated limits;
- continued use after a collision, drop, damage, defect, recall, missing part, or warning that should have caused use to stop;
- a vehicle defect, another road user's conduct, a collision, or another circumstance outside the Provider's reasonable control; or
- failure to comply with road, child-restraint, or cross-border laws.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or deliberate misconduct; death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot be excluded; breach of mandatory product-safety, product-liability, rental, or consumer-protection obligations; or any other liability that applicable law does not allow the Provider to exclude or limit. Nothing in these terms removes the Provider's obligation to exercise legally required care in supplying and checking rental equipment.
9. Loss, damage, and return
You must protect the seat from theft, loss, avoidable damage, contamination, and unauthorized use, and return it with every supplied component at the agreed time. To the extent permitted by law, you may be responsible for the reasonable and evidenced cost of loss or damage caused while the seat is in your possession, excluding fair wear, an inherent defect, or damage for which the Provider is legally responsible.
10. Insurance and emergencies
No motor, travel, health, or personal-liability insurance is included unless expressly stated in the booking confirmation. You should check your own insurance. In an emergency, prioritize people, contact emergency services where needed, and follow police and insurer requirements before contacting the Provider.
11. Mandatory consumer rights and disputes
These terms are governed by Czech law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the country of your habitual residence. Nothing restricts your right to bring a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
Where applicable, consumers may seek out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 44, 110 00 Praha 1, at www.coi.cz.
12. Severability, records, and changes
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. The version accepted with your booking applies to that request. A later change will not apply retroactively unless required by law or expressly agreed.
Your electronic acceptance, the terms version, and booking information may be recorded to administer the request and document the agreement, subject to applicable data-protection law.
