Before you reserve

Check that the collection area is practical from your airport, station, or hotel and that the equipment will fit the transport you plan to use. Ask what information is needed to book, how payment or a deposit is handled, and when the reservation becomes confirmed. If a particular model or accessory matters, obtain that detail in writing.

Do not schedule pickup against a tight flight arrival. Passport control, baggage delivery, and disrupted public transport can all move the plan.

Read the access instructions

A provider may use a staffed desk, locker, code, key, or another controlled handover. Confirm the current address, collection window, access steps, and what to do if a code or door fails. Save the instructions and support number offline. Only share access credentials with adults covered by the booking, and follow any identification requirement stated in the terms.

Check the equipment on site

Match every item against the reservation. For a stroller, test the fold, wheels, brake, harness, and recline. For a cot or high chair, read the model instructions and confirm all structural parts are present. Photograph existing cosmetic marks if requested. Contact the provider before use if anything is missing, damaged, or unclear rather than modifying the equipment yourself.

Make the return uneventful

Note the due date and time, required condition, packing method, and exact return point. Keep supplied bags, manuals, and small accessories together during the stay. Allow time to remove personal items and check the basket. If travel disruption threatens the return, contact the provider promptly; do not assume a flexible extension or alternate drop-off is available.
