Diapers are consumables, not rental items, and specialist Japanese brands may be less predictable in Prague than mainstream European products. If a particular fit is essential, bring enough for arrival and verify a local seller before travel. For most families, a small buffer plus a planned supermarket, drugstore, pharmacy, or online order is more practical than carrying the entire trip's supply.

Understand local shopping options

Large supermarkets sell common diapers, wipes, and basic baby food. Drugstores such as dm and Rossmann often have broad own-brand and sensitive-skin ranges, while a lékárna, or pharmacy, can help with specialist care products. Japanese imports are more likely through specialist shops or online retailers, but brand, size, delivery area, and stock change. Contact the seller directly.

Compare sizes by measurements

Size numbers and labels such as newborn, S, or M do not translate reliably across brands. Use the child's current weight as a starting point, then check the package range and product shape. Pants and taped diapers fit differently. Buy a small pack before a bulk order when switching brands, particularly if your child has sensitive skin or an unusual fit.

Be precise about organic claims

"Organic" may describe one ingredient rather than the whole product, and it does not automatically mean hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, or medically preferable. Read the ingredient and certification information relevant to the item. For known allergies, persistent rash, feeding products, or skin treatment, follow advice from the child's clinician or a pharmacist rather than marketing language.

Build a low-stress supply plan

Pack enough diapers and familiar wipes for the journey, the first day, and a delay. Save nearby store locations and avoid scheduling a delivery before you can access the accommodation. Keep receipts until you know a new product works. Equipment providers may offer purchasable add-ons, but confirm brand, pack size, price, and availability at booking rather than assuming they come with rented gear.
