The right accessory can solve a specific Prague problem, but more attachments are not automatically better. They add bulk, can change folding, and may be unsafe if they are not approved for the stroller. Ask what is currently supplied with the exact model, what costs extra, and how each item should be fitted. Never infer inclusion from a promotional photograph.
Weather protection
A fitted rain cover is useful in changeable spring and autumn weather. It should preserve ventilation and stay clear of the child's face; remove or open it when conditions allow to avoid overheating. In winter, a compatible footmuff can add warmth without loose fabric near wheels. In summer, use the stroller's breathable canopy and shade, but do not drape a blanket over the opening because heat can build up.
Storage and travel accessories
A basket carries nappies and layers low on the frame, within the manufacturer's load limit. Handlebar organizers and hooks may affect stability, especially with shopping bags. A cup holder must not position a hot drink over the child. For flights or train transfers, ask whether a transport bag is available and whether the stroller must be partly disassembled to fit it.
Child-specific extras
A buggy board can help an older sibling, but only if the exact board and stroller are compatible and both child and combined load remain within limits. Newborn inserts, bassinets, car-seat adapters, and additional seats are model-specific structural components, not universal add-ons. Obtain the instructions and have the provider demonstrate locking points if needed.
What to confirm at pickup
- List every supplied accessory on the handover record.
- Check clips, zips, straps, and ventilation panels.
- Practice folding with each attachment.
- Store removed pieces where they will not be lost.
- Return wet items as instructed rather than sealing them away.
Report a damaged attachment before use. Improvised clips or cords can create entanglement or stability risks.
